Happy YouTubesday! This is a series I have created because I love YouTube. I love beauty videos, comedy videos, music videos (from famous people, and from the people sitting in front of a webcam with a guitar...those are usually better, actually!), and I'm the first to get all hyped up for a viral video! I have learned SO much from YouTube and I wanted to start this project to highlight some of my favorite YouTube personalities! I met Kim through Keek! It didn't take long for me to figure out why her username is RedVelvetKim! Look at that hair! I absolutely love her. She is one of those girls who just keeps it real! Make sure you check out her channel! She is proof that you do NOT need a production company to make incredible videos!

RedVelvetStylez: YouTube has taught me a lot. a) It has taught me so many different types of techniques when applying makeup. b) It has also opened up so many doors to people...great people that I never knew before. c) It's taught me not to be shy and just be myself and embrace me, and love me.

B: What are your favorite types of videos to make?

RVS: My favorite kind of videos to make are makeup tutorials...all kinds!

B: What are your favorite types of videos to watch?

RVS: My favorite kind of videos to watch are also makeup tutorials...also all kinds!

B: If you weren't making beauty videos on YouTube, what kind of videos would you be making?

RVS: If I wasn't making beauty videos, I would be making inspirational videos to help people feel good about themselves.

B: What would be your dream (in the beauty industry) job?

RVS: I mentioned my dream job in my 50 Random Facts Tag...make sure you watch it ;) 

B: What is the best advice you have for someone who wants to start a channel?

RVS: I would say just do it! Don't sit and wait for the time to be right, or the lighting...just do it!

B: Name some beauty vloggers that we should be watching.

RVS: You should definitely be watching Jaclyn Hill, Kandee Johnson, GossMakeupArtist, ChrisspyMakeup, and all of the girls who I'm close with that are listed on my channel feature list.

B: Everyone always asks, "What is one beauty product that you can't live without?" ...Instead of that, tell me one or two that you COULD live without!

RVS: I could live without eye shadow. I know it's crazy, but I'm more of a face junkie. I could also live without lashes...I would RATHER not live without any of them, but you asked! LOL

Because I KNOW You Need Another Social Media Account...

Yes, I'm on Twitter...I'm on Facebook, and Instagram, and Tumblr...I have a google+ account, a Vine account, Pinterest, KIK, FourSquare...I have them all. Truth be told, I probably use less than half of them regularly! You are probably on some of those sites too and if you aren't, you've probably heard of them. They all have their good and bad qualities. 

Twitter has all of the celebs (...can't lie...I follow them all. From Lady GaGa & Ellen all the way to the cast of that already-cancelled MTV show BuckWild, there is something very interesting to me about Twitter-stalking "celebrities".)

 Instagram has the BEST makeup and fashion pictures in all the land!! I could scroll forever as long as I had a napkin to wipe off the drool running down my chin!

How could ANYONE plan a wedding, birthday party, cook dinner, or decorate a house without Pinterest? And Facebook?! I mean, I don't know how I would keep up with my friends from high school without Facebook!

I have often found myself pretty annoyed that I can talk to a woman who lives inside my phone and she can tell me pretty much anything I want to know (Siri), but all of these social media networks can't be joined to make one big pinning, tagging, posting, tweeting social network monster, BUT since it doesn't look like that will be happening anytime soon, I thought I would introduce you to a FEW more sites that you REALLY need to be on!!!

KEEK

My keek is my baby. It is still in the "growing" stages, so I have found that I get to interact with WAY more people through keek. Users post 36 second videos, can comment on others' videos & "keekback" (leave a video response). The most recent addition is a private message option where users can send messages or private videos to each other. (I found out the hard way that enabling other users to message you opens your account up to some pretty creepy persons pretending to be "modeling agents" asking for naked videos...but there's a block feature too!) I LOVE seeing my friends' OOTD's (outfit of the day), FOTD's (face of the day), NOTD's (nails of the day), and whatever other "TD"s they come up with! It's also a great place to post (and watch) mini-hauls! ...The girls I follow are pretty much just a bunch of enablers coaxing me into buying whatever they just bought! I love Keek...just love it! Your Perfect Beauty

So, right now, this one is only available on a computer, meaning there is no app for it. I guess I should say it's only available via browser...not computer. So imagine this, you have some downtime and decide to log into your Facebook......

OH MY GOSH!!! THE ONLY THING PEOPLE ARE TALKING ABOUT ON HERE IS MAKEUP AND HAIR AND BEAUTY PRODUCTS!!!

Well, THAT is exactly what this website is! Your Perfect Beauty is a social BEAUTY network site. There is a section to write your own reviews on your favorite products, a section to leave your beauty tips, tricks, and secrets, a place to upload videos, a place makeup/hair/nail looks, and (of course) a tab to post your status! This one is also in the growing phase. There aren't many bells and whistles, but if this site continues to grow, it is going to be HUGE! I have so much fun on there and I'm really looking forward to watching that site grow!

Remember in English class (right after the lesson on the correct way to write an essay) when they taught the "Correct Way to Write a Blog Post" lesson?   ....yeah...neither do I.
With that being said, welcome to my VERY FIRST BLOG POST EVERRRR!!! I've been reading blogs for a long time. I was never interested in writing my own until about six months ago when I quit just READING blogs and began to interact with the women behind them. I have made true friends in the "blogosphere" (that IS what it's called, right?) who I have really grown to love. I talk to them everyday about everything and I learn from them constantly. They have changed my life.   I started this blog because I want to connect with even MORE of you! I love to learn new things. I love sharing tips and tricks and secrets! You will find out that I have a pretty wide variety of interests! We are pretty much gonna have one big girly slumber party on this blog! There are no guidelines here and there are no rules here (except be kind to each other!), so use the comment section and my email address liberally! This is a whole new world ((a hundred thousand things to see...no one to tell us "no", or where to go, or say we're only dreaming......)) to me and I am SO excited to have you here to see what happens! I have so many dreams for this baby blog!
